The Atelier
The home of Abigail’s Vintage Bridal original vintage wedding dress collection is in an Edwardian end of terrace house built in 1910.
When built it would have been on the outskirts of the Rutland County town of Oakham.
The Atelier occupies the front of the house that is also Abigail’s family home. The house has undergone considerable renovation over the years, most notably in 2015 with extra rooms being added and the worst excesses of the 1970s being removed. The house is now light, bright and elegant; the perfect home for Abigail’s Vintage Bridal.
The downstairs atelier is where initial consultations take place. A cup of tea and a discussion about the kind of dress a bride is looking for is often interrupted by the realisation that room is used for a lot of the photography of newly arrived vintage wedding dresses. We have had more then one photo shoot in the room too, it really is a lovely space.
